Nature Shows

Empty streets bring melancholy.
Illustrate how even the beauty
of architecture needs something more.
Needs the tread of human feet.
The rhythm of walking, a collective growl
and rumble of engine and voice.
Yet, as we hide away, save ourselves.
Fight so hard to continue the human race,
nature creeps back.
Notice how gum fades on pavements.
How litter has scattered on the wind.
Cracks in tarmac spring dandelions,
and foxes creep out to roam.
Once this is seen melancholy fades.
A new view takes its place.
Nature boldly shows herself.
