Dream Of A Market
While still in a minute close,
legs are treading back and forth.
To us, we are within a place that does
not surpass the size of a grip.
We spread our goods having our dreams
beneath our hearts.
We resolute at village square to
commune and rumble till departure.
Sitting where spaces have no room around,
thickness, struggles hit the limited rooms.
What’s called fresh air? Hmm, in our dreams.
To us, we are so tightly enclosed that we could
get baked, eaten and passed through the throat
at no strain at all.
Our screams go non-stop when legs are almost
compressed by the black zero of moving vehicles
and cycles, prompting a quick halt.
Until our hearts go weary, buying never stops.
Like a club house where eyeballs collide with
another during giving and taking days.
In this fold where most eyes are familiar with the
shapes of another, mouth twist without rest.
Eyeballs roll and drop without stoping and cheeks
dancing as though in a music bank.
Our speeches, turning the hearts of buyers to compromise.
A gathering where greetings is our culture.
We greet with a killer-smile for patronage!
We are the market!
We are there, be it under the scorching sun, the heavy rain and the dew.
Even in the midst of tightness, hotness and cold weather, the dream
of a market is to widen like a rice garden.#
Our tents are spread, because we are the market itself!
We are!
Our voices are always at alert, ready to bark at unpleasant bargains.
We anticipate to have our goods sitting in the houses of buyers and
to return to our various homes with purses filled with abundance of cash.
Our customers won’t stop constant calculations neither would their eyes
stop screening their scribbled lists to ensure that they are hitting the target.
The dream of a market is to be filled with customers like galaxy stars.
No matter how big nor small a market is, it still dreams to be enlarged everyday!
This is our dream for the market, our aspirations for our market city.
We are the market
We are the life that keeps the market existing.
We are the dream of the market.
